Comments indicate at "the end of a dirt road" and " Only the Bilal Town area is in complete military control – no one is allowed in.” This is in that smaller area, Bilal Town, and at the end of a dirt road. There are other homes near it but not adjacent - and farmland surrounding it. Never can tell but I wonder if we'll ever know 'where' for sure.

2 more things to note:

- News report it being atop a hill, if so the hill is a very shallow one;

- not there in 2001 image but there in 2005 image; which fits with NYT assertion that it was built specifically to hide Ozzy B after the invasion of Afghanistan.

on google earth you can tick historical imagery, and most of the town has 2001 imagery. Therefore you can see if the building was built in 2001, and if it was this seems to rule it out if the 5 years ago date is correct, or roughly correct.
MaybeOsamaBinLadensCompound.kmz - exists in 2001, although it appears to have just been finished as landscaping has not been done, still see bare earth around the building.

That location you had posted is the Kakul military school. PMA stands for Pakistani Military Academy. If you want to know where it is, just go to the Urdu and English Paki TV stations. They've got pics of it....... it's in the Bilal neighborhood right near Kakul.

I changed it since the one I posted initially was verified to be false. At this point I'm still not sure what the actual location of the compound was. I did update with the location of a related helicopter that crashed.

If it was built in 2005, it wont show up on Google maps, the sat photo was taken in 2001.

I found the location through a search on Google earth, that's all the verification I have at this point
